The Green Business Program of Santa Barbara County aims to recognize, through certification, local businesses going beyond required measures to serve as models of sustainable business. Today, "Green business” means more than recycling... and the benefits extend beyond helping the environment.

Goals and Objectives

• To promote environmental ethics in Santa Barbara County;
• To establish a positive relationship among governmental agencies, the business community, and the public;
• To help businesses integrate environmental responsibility into their operations in a manner that is sustainable as well as profitable;
• To provide public recognition to exemplary businesses.
