The GBP offers incentives and assistance to encourage businesses to implement voluntary actions to protect, preserve, and improve the environment beyond what current laws require. Businesses meeting these criteria can be certified as green businesses. The Green Business Program:
  • provides guidebooks, resources, and assistance to businesses wanting to be green
  • certifies businesses through on-site visits and evaluation, and
  • highlights certified businesses so that local consumers can shop green.

Small Business Awards Program

Accepting applications until November 3, 2014. The 5th CoolCalifornia Small Business Awards Program recognizes California small businesses that take action to reduce their greenhouse gas emission, promote climate-friendly practices, and integrate the tools on CoolCalifornia.org into their business operations.
